This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is powered by its original
265/180hp V-8 engine with a four-barrel Cleveland carburetor and a
Powerglide automatic transmission. In 1991, the car underwent a
frame-off restoration by the Pontiff Brothers of New Orleans,
Louisiana, specialists exclusively dedicated to 1955-57 Chevrolets.
During the comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration, every component
was renewed or restored to factory specifications. The exterior is
finished in its factory-correct two-tone lacquer paint of Harvest
Gold (code 631S) over India Ivory with a white top. The Neptune
Green interior maintains every detail of its original design.
Factory equipment includes E-Z-Eye glass. This Bel Air has been
maintained in a climate-controlled environment and has been driven
fewer than 5,000 miles since completion of the restoration. It
received a Silver Award at the CCCI International Convention in
Dallas with a score of 944 points and a Gold Award at the CCCI SE
Nationals in Nashville with a score of 974 points. **100% OF HAMMER
