1965 Corvette Roadster - Gorgeous example of the iconic midyear Vette with lots of desirable options and finished in one of the most attractive color choices! Documented 4-owner car since new with the original Protect-o-Plate and still retains it's numbers matching drivetrain. The original 327ci engine has been nicely rebuilt to 350hp "L-79" specs with era-correct components. All that fun power is put to the pavement through the factory equipped Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and 3.36 POSI rear. Car also came factory equipped with power 4-wheel disc brakes, power steering and has a great rumble thanks to the offroad sidepipe exhaust system. Exterior shows extremely well with an older repaint in the original "Nassau Blue" however is starting to show just a touch of it's age in a couple spots, but still a VERY nice 5-footer looker. Body is super straight and appears to be a legitement "no-hit" panel car with all correct bonding strips still in-tact everywhere you inspect. Flip-up headlights do fit and function correctly, operating easily with the flip of a switch. The chrome bumpers are in great condition along with all the trim and emblems. This is a factory 2-top car with matching hardtop included and a newer white convertible soft top which really contrasts nicely. An NOS "stinger" big block style hood has been added for a more aggressive look along with an authentic set of correct casting Kelsey Hayes knock-off wheels wrapped in whiteline radial tires which really complete that classic early-muscle styling. Interior is clean and seems to be mostly original with standard black vinyl tones throughout. Bucket seats feel great and have been recovered at one point. Everything inside works as it should including the lights, signals, horn, wipers, gauges, heater and factory AM/FM radio with ReVerb but unfortunately the factory power antenna does not. Underneath is rock solid with no signs of any major damage or repairs and the engine is nicely detailed with all the appropriate components and shielding. We all know these midyears have been on every enthusiast's must-have list for decades and amongst one of the most popular collector cars since they were new. Their values constantly tend to rise or at least stay steady with an overall appreciation from all age brackets. These cars are a timeless glimpse of Americana and great investment pieces.
