INTRODUCTION: Only 60 miles on an incredibly detailed body off
frame, rotisserie restoration! This is one of just 1,919 SS454s
produced in 1971 Finished in its factory Mulsanne Blue, this is the
best looking Monte Carlo I've ever seen! With a built 454, 4-speed
and a posi rear, it's as exciting to drive as it is to look at.
EXTERIOR: Absolutely beautiful from every angle! The body was taken
down to a bare shell and placed on a rotisserie, allowing it to be
restored with precision throughout. The handsome body lines are
crisp, straight, and the fit is excellent. It's been upgraded with
a functional cowl induction hood with racing pins, and the addition
of round marker lights gives it a unique, tasteful touch. It's been
completely repainted its original Mulsanne Blue (code 26-26 on the
cowl tag) and finished in a deep, high-gloss clear coat without a
vinyl top for a clean, sleek look. Every piece of exterior chrome
and trim has been replaced, along with all new glass and
weatherstripping. It sits on new 15-inch chrome SS wheels wrapped
in reproduction Goodyear tires, completing the classic muscle car
stance perfectly.
INTERIOR: The white interior is a stunning contrast to the blue
exterior! It's crisp, clean, and restored like new from top to
bottom. From the fresh carpet to the new headliner and everything
in between, it's beautifully finished. It's been upgraded with very
comfortable ProCar reclining sport seats, while the rear seat is
upholstered to match. It also features new reproduction side
panels, armrests, and window cranks. A factory center console
houses a Hurst 4-speed shifter. The dash pad, instrument panel, and
factory SS gauges are all new, with an added oil pressure gauge
neatly mounted below. A retro stereo sits in the factory location,
and a sport steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column. It's
finished off with all new GM seatbelts and SS embroidered mats. And
the rearview mirror is even new so you can watch everyone else
trying to keep up!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Don't let this show quality engine bay fool
you- it packs a serious punch! The 454 has been completely
performance rebuilt. Up top, it features an aluminum intake, dual
feed Holley carb, and a fully functional cowl induction system
feeding it fresh air. Spark comes from an MSD ignition system, and
it's dressed with chrome valve covers. Up front, it has a chrome
alternator, all new brackets, pulleys, and power steering
components. It also features a new power brake system with a
cadmium plated booster. The details are just as impressive-new
hoses, wiring, and wiper motor. It runs cool with the correct
radiator and shroud, and even has a Delco battery topper for a
factory look. It's complete with hood insulation, cowl seal, vents,
and functioning washer squirters. Clean, highly detailed, and built
to perform!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk lives up to the rest of the car! Under
the lid and in the jamb are painted the same glossy blue as the
exterior. Inside, the metal is pristine with a neatly applied
spatter finish. It's complete with reproduction decals,
weatherstrip, and trunk mat. No expense was spared- a fifth
matching chrome SS wheel with a Polyglas reproduction tire is
included, along with a reproduction jack assembly.
UNDERSIDE: As impressive underneath as it is on top! The body was
lifted off the chassis and flipped on its side, allowing for a
thorough restoration. The floors are pristine metal, painted body
color and clear coated for a show quality finish. The chassis has
been completely prepped and painted a smooth gloss black. It's
equipped with the F41 suspension, including front and rear sway
bars and boxed rear control arms. The steering and suspension have
been fully rebuilt. The brake system has also been completely
redone with front disc brakes, all new lines, and new e-brake
cables. The fuel system is entirely new, including the tank and
lines. A great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers exits
through correct SS tips. Looking up at the motor, it's spotless
Chevy Orange with a new starter. The Muncie M22 "Rock Crusher"
4-speed has been fully rebuilt with a new gear set and Hurst
linkage. A new Denny's driveshaft connects to a heavy duty Moser
9-inch rear with a Muscle Pack 4.11 posi unit. The attention to
detail is outstanding, it's unbelievably clean underneath. Take a
look for yourself!
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: The restoration truly speaks for itself and we have
restoration photos showing just how much detail and effort went
into this build. Opportunities like this are rare. There may be
other Monte Carlos out there, but they aren't this one!
