INTRODUCTION: Absolutely beautiful Riviera- the color combination
is what really sets it apart. While many from this era came in
browns, golds, and greens, this one stands out in all the right
ways. I'm around great cars every day, and this one genuinely
caught my attention. It's a very well maintained, original example
that's as striking as it is enjoyable.
EXTERIOR: This may be the best looking luxury car out there! It is
stylish with beautiful, flowing body lines. The body on this one is
exceptional: very straight, clean, and solid metal throughout. It's
been repainted its original Riviera Red without a vinyl top, giving
it a sleek look with a smooth, glossy finish. The bumpers have been
rechromed, and the rest of the trim presents very well. The power
antenna works and the hideaway headlights add a cool, stealthy
touch. It's sitting on a gorgeous set of original 15-inch chrome
Buick mags wrapped in radial white stripe tires, completing the
look perfectly.
INTERIOR: The white interior is the perfect contrast to the red
exterior! Inside is also both luxurious and sporty. It features
reupholstered bucket seats, with a power driver's seat, and a
factory center console with the staple shifter in between them. The
door panels and rear seat appear to be very nice originals, while
the carpet has been replaced. The dash area presents well and
includes a unique set of gauges, highlighted by the signature
barrel roll speedometer. It also has a clean white headliner and
visors above and the interior lights are in working order. Power
windows and a tilt wheel adds to your comfort.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood is Buick's Wildcat 430, rated at
360 horsepower and 475 lbs of torque! It appears to be very stock
with original style manifolds, valve covers, and air cleaner, and
it runs smooth and strong. Well equipped with power steering, power
brakes, factory air conditioning, and electro-cruise control. The
compartment presents as a clean, well maintained survivor. It is
complete with the fan shroud, working horns, hooked-up washer
squirters, new a/c compressor and proper components throughout.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid, jamb, and inside are all
painted the same glossy Riviera Red for a clean, uniform look. It's
equipped with a spare tire, reproduction side panels, a new trunk
mat (on order and not shown in photos), and new weatherstrip. It
also features a working power trunk release and trunk light.
Everything is clean, tidy, and nicely detailed.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath this Buick is a very clean, well maintained
survivor. The front suspension appears to have been refreshed, the
bushings, springs, shocks, and ball joints all look replaced. The
rear suspension shows just as well with fresh looking springs and
shocks. It features a factory style dual exhaust system that's in
very good condition. The fuel tank is clean, and it retains its
Buick finned drum brakes up front. The emergency brake is hooked up
and functional. Looking up at the motor, everything is tidy with a
fresh looking starter, and it still has its original Super Turbine
3-speed automatic transmission. The floors and frame are smooth,
clean, dry metal, finished in a neat coat of black paint. Overall,
it presents exceptionally well underneath.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: Yes, there are other Rivieras out there but they aren't
this one! This car commands attention. Sitting in our showroom
among cars costing two and three times as much, it still stands
tall and holds its own with ease.
