This 1964 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 pickup is powered by a 1.5-liter
six-cylinder engine dressed with early decals and a manual
transmission. It has been upgraded with a new OEM H55F five-speed
manual transmission and has a late FJ40 split transfer case and
locking hubs. The engine is fitted with a Jim C-tuned
period-correct DD40 Aisin carburetor. The chassis and suspension
include 1982 FJ40 front and rear axles, along with an upgraded 70
Series Land Cruiser tie rod and relay rod. It also features an FJ60
power steering box paired with a 3FE FJ62 power steering pump.
Stopping power is handled by FJ60 front disc brakes with Aisin
locking hubs and steering knuckles, along with upgraded
single-piston rear drum brakes and an emergency brake. The exterior
is finished in Horizontal Blue and features a seldom-seen
split-window cab configuration. Interior appointments include Coral
upholstery, along with period-correct heater and dash controls.
Additional equipment includes a factory Power Takeoff (PTO) winch.
This FJ45 rides on 15-inch steel wheels with chrome center caps
wrapped in Yokohama tires. This vehicle was an early U.S.-market
model (not South American) and underwent a professional frame-off,
nut-and-bolt restoration by Sean Belanger out of Tucson, Arizona.
