This custom 1987 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is powered by a GM Performance
LS 376/525hp 6.2-liter V-8 engine paired with a 6L80E automatic
transmission and four-wheel drive. The engine is equipped with a
Holley LS3 Lo-Ram intake manifold, Airaid cold-air intake and a
tuned GM ECM. Additional components include dual electric radiator
fans, dual 12-volt batteries, new axles, new driveshafts and 3.73
ring-and-pinion gears. Exhaust is routed through a dual system with
Flowmaster 70 Series mufflers. The chassis is equipped with Fox
Performance Elite 2.5 reservoir shocks, Fox Performance steering
stabilizer, ORD High Steer kit, ORD rear springs and an ORD sway
bar. Steering components include a Borgeson steering box, Reid
knuckles, new tie rods and ball joints. Stopping power is handled
by Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder,
brake boost and custom brake lines. The exterior features a custom
two-tone wrap, OEM-style front and rear bumpers, OEM-style side
mirrors, a Hickey bull bar with silver powder-coated finish, KC
Gravity 6-inch LED fog lights, Holley LED headlights and
taillights, Bully side steps and a new windshield with custom tint.
The vehicle rides on Mickey Thompson Classic III 16x10 chrome
wheels with BFGoodrich KO3 35x12.5R16 tires. The interior is
finished in Dove Gray and features Katzkin leather seats with a
power driver's seat mounted on Merrick's Garage brackets.
Additional interior equipment includes full sound-deadening
(including the cargo area), a RetroSound radio, Focal Flax 6.5-inch
speakers, JL Audio amplifier, JL Audio 10-inch subwoofer with
custom enclosure, Dakota Digital RTX gauges, new carpet, mats and
headliner, a leather-wrapped original steering wheel and a rebuilt
steering column. This vehicle has 3,800 miles on the build.
