This beautiful 1970 Trans Am is being offered for sale from a private collection in Scottsdale, Arizona. It has its original drive train, numbers matching Tam Air III motor, Turbo 400 automatic transmission and 12 Bolt factory Posi differential and factory original JW Rims.
The car was built in Van Nuys California, and was a rare GM executive ordered car.
The PHS documentation shows delivery to the GM plant as it allocation. With the correct GM executive dealer code on the PHS documentation itself. It is a highly optioned car and some of the main factory ordered options include:
Ram Air III motor
Turbo 400 automatic transmission
Air conditioning
Power windows
Tilt steering column
Deluxe interior
AM/FM radio
Custom seat belts
Custom trim
Center consul
Power steering and power brakes.
The car is very solid, and the underside is extremely nice and well detailed. It also still retains its original California vapor vent system with original pipe work (see underside pics).
The car has retained its original build sheet and has a great long-term ownership history. It was purchased in Riverside California in 1988 by its second owner and it resided in California for many years and then relocated to Texas. There is a binder, including a detailed record of its restoration journey and the motor rebuilt specs.
This Trans Am looks terrific throughout, from the interior motor compartment and underside and it drives extremely well. Very tight, smooth and it feels great on the road.
