1960 Austin Healey 3000 BT-7 "Big Healey" for sale! Motorcar
Classics is pleased to offer this stunning Austin Healey BT7
presented in Black over Old English White. The BT7 offers the
desirable 2+2 seating configuration, making it the perfect vintage
tourer for those who appreciate a blend of performance and
versatility. Under the bonnet sits the legendary 2.9L C-Series
inline-six engine with twin SU carburetors producing a distinctive,
throaty exhaust note that defines the Healey experience. The BT7
features a manual 4-speed with functional electric over-drive. The
odometer reads 41,275 miles. The car is now with us on consignment
with its current owner who acquired the car at the end of 2015. For
the next 18 months the car went under a full strip down inside and
out and the body was straightened out. The interior was completely
redone, including new perforated racing style seats, new carpet
kit, a custom burl-wood dashboard, and a vintage Moto-Lita steering
wheel. In 2017, the car was painted in the Black over Old English
White color way. In April of 2017, the front and rear brakes were
restored - master cylinder was replaced as well as the brake lines.
The suspension and rear differential were restored. New wire wheels
and tires were installed at this point - less than 500 miles since.
In 2024, the rear main seal and head gasket were changed - and at
that time the clutch plate was replaced as well. In 2024/25 - the
cooling system was replaced including an upgraded Wizard Cooling
Radiator, bellows style thermostat, water pump and the temp gauge
was replaced. Finally in 2025 additional work was done to the head
gasket, it was milled, restored and gasket replaced. The headlight
switch was also replaced as well at this time. Regular maintenance
and oil changes has also been done throughout the years on this
car.The car includes a soft-top, the daily driving tonneau cover, a
luggage rack with leather tie down belts, and a brand new
badge/light bar. Your inspection is invited!
