The Willys Deluxe has been an extremely popular and desirable
platform for building some of the toughest street rods on the road
today. With the most popular body style being the two-door coupe.
Rarely do you find a Willys 4-door sedan that has received the
street rod treatment. That is exactly what we have here in this
awesome and very well built 1939 Willys Deluxe 4-door sedan. This
1939 Willys benefits from an older and very extensive street rod
style restoration sitting on a modified 1957 Chevrolet chassis.
During the restoration, the factory front clip was removed in favor
of the much more sought after 1940 Willys front clip. This Willys
features an all steel body with the exception of the front center
section and both rear fenders. The Willys presents well in its
current bright red paint that still shines well. The paint is older
and starting to crack throughout (See full walk-around video).
Complimenting the Red exterior paint is the Willys factory style
grille, teardrop headlamps, factory chrome and stainless trim,
factory "Willys" emblems and a set of Weld wheels. This unique
Willys features a custom Grey cloth and tweed bucket seat interior
that shows very well with only minor wear and age present. Powering
this Willys is a supercharged 350 cubic inch small block V8 backed
by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Both the engine and
transmission perform just as they should and have no issue pulling
this street rod down the road with ease. This Willys is nicely
equipped with aftermarket Stewart Warner gauges, front disc brakes,
B&M ratchet shifter, in-dash tachometer, electric cooling fan,
AM/FM/CD stereo w/ Aux, and power front windows. The restoration of
this Willys is nicely documented by pictures of the car throughout
the restoration process. If you are in the market for a well built
Willys street rod with all of the horsepower you would want and
enough seating to accommodate the whole family, then you will not
want to miss out on this beautiful 1939 Willys street rod.
