Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this beautiful 1969 Shelby GT500 in excellent condition with only 62,238 original miles. This Mustang looks spectacular, runs great, and is an excellent driver. The Jade Black over White Clarion Knit/Corinthian Vinyl is a beautiful color combination that looks great on the car. It is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the door tag and Elite Marti report, which is pictured in this ad. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic with low miles that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on the 1st generation Shelbys is strong right now and on the rise. The low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title showing the mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, and information to get a true sense of how nice, and clean this GT500 really is.

According to the Elite Marti Report pictured above, "out of the 1,402 GT500s in 1969, 1,157 of those were fastbacks. Of them 448 came with Four-Speed Manual Transmissions. 83 of those were painted Jade Black, of which 37 had White Bucket Seat Interiors. Of those, 9 had Drag Packs with 3.91 Rear Gears. Of them, 4 were ordered with an AM/FM Stereo Radio. Of these, 2 had Tilt Steering Wheels." This Shelby is one of those 2. The car was originally sold by Ramp Motors Inc out of Port Jefferson, New York.

As a side note, this Shelby is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand-pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their car to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the GT500, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Jade Black exterior is in outstanding condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has a terrific gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The moldings/trim/chrome throughout are in amazing shape and do not show their age. The Stock wheels are in outstanding condition wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial tires correctly sized 235/60R15. Please note that these are not aftermarket wheels, these are the original OEM wheels. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. This Shelby has no rust issues and is very clean underneath. We have included many photos of the underside to show how nice this GT500 looks.

Interior

The White interior in this Shelby is in fantastic condition. The seats are in great condition with no holes, rips, or split seams. The seat is not overly worn in the typical spot on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The back seats have most likely never been used. The carpet is in excellent condition with no holes, tears, or stains. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The door panels are in excellent shape and the door pulls are solid and intact. The dash and console are in great condition with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. This Shelby has never been smoked in; there are no burn marks and no aroma of cigarettes.

The excellent condition of this all original interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this car has received throughout its life,

Mechanical

This GT500 seems to be in exceptional mechanical condition. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. It drives great and feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video in this ad one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no vibrations or strange noises and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The shifter feels precise, does not pop out of gear, and the clutch feels great. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. The car runs cool and does not overheat. This Shelby is quick for its time. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and detailed as one can see in the photos.

All of the exterior lights work, interior lights, wipers. All of the gauges work. The blower for the heater works. There are no other warning lights that stay on. The radio does not work. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the 6 speed manual and massive 428ci V8.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1969 Shelby GT500 is in magnificent condition. The low miles, the beautiful original color combination, and the excellent overall condition make this car especially important and hard to duplicate. This Shelby always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its previous owners. The prices of first generation Shelbys have increased considerably over the past several years. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. Cars like this are the Barrett Jackson stars of the future. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
