Zoom Classic Cars proudly presents this beautifully preserved and
highly desirable 1949 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup, an all-steel
original example showing just 45k miles. Representing the early
years of Chevrolet's legendary Advance-Design series, this truck
combines timeless styling with dependable vintage performance. The
1949 model year marked the continuation of Chevrolet's
groundbreaking Advance-Design trucks (1947-1955)-the first major
redesign following World War II. These trucks were larger, more
comfortable, and more refined than their predecessors, helping
solidify Chevrolet's dominance in the light truck market. The 3100
series (-ton pickup) was the most popular configuration in
Chevrolet's lineup. The 5-window cab-featuring additional rear
corner glass-was especially sought after, offering improved
visibility and added collector appeal. These trucks quickly became
favorites among farmers, tradesmen, and small businesses, and today
they are among the most collectible and recognizable classic
American pickups.Under the hood sits a professionally rebuilt
replacement 216.5 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder engine thought to be
from a 1952 Chevy and paired with a 3-speed manual transmission on
the column (three-on-the-tree), delivering that authentic postwar
driving experience. Retaining its original 6-volt electrical
system, this truck stays true to its roots while benefiting from
careful maintenance and attention to detail. This truck received an
older restoration in the late 90's that still presents
exceptionally well today, with beautiful green paint accented by
tasteful period-correct pinstriping. The body is straight and solid
throughout, the cab corners in excellent rust free condition and
all chrome, trim, and badging remain intact and in excellent
condition, highlighting the truck's originality. Inside, you'll
find a clean and inviting cabin featuring a brown vinyl bench seat
in excellent condition with no rips or tears, full gauge cluster,
aftermarket vintage look radio, and heater. All components are
functional, and the truck comes with its original radio as an added
bonus as shown. The glass is like new, and all weather stripping
remains intact and pliable, a testament to the truck's careful
preservation. The painted wood bed is in excellent condition and
the tailgate works as expected. Rolling on factory-painted steel
wheels with Chevrolet-logo chrome hubcaps, the truck is fitted with
1-year-old bias-ply tires for an authentic stance and ride. The
step-side bed is in excellent condition, and underneath, the
undercarriage is impressively clean, showcasing solid floors, leaf
spring suspension, a sound battery box, spare tire mounted
underneath, and a single exhaust system. This is a true turnkey
classic-meticulously maintained, fully serviced, and ready to drive
and enjoy. Everything works as it should, making it an ideal
addition to any collection or a standout at local shows and weekend
cruises. The truck is stored in MA with clean title in the Owner's
name. Please call Jeff to schedule an appointment to view this
