Originally Ivory (738) the car was refinished in Guards Red and the interior restored in tan vinyl with tan cloth inserts. The mission was to transform the car into a rally/touring car more suitable to modern roads and traffic.

The replacement long block was sourced from a '69 912 and rebuilt with a big bore kit, aluminum rocker stands and mild cam. Ceramic coated rotating parts. S90 crank & bearing set, S90 flywheel, clutch and pressure plate. Solex carbs rebuilt.
