LaFontaine Classic Cars is excited to offer: Absolutely Stunning,
and bespoke 1947' Chevy Fleetmaster Cabriolet! Professionally
restored with creature comfort and drivability in mind! LaFontaine
Classic Cars sourced this car from a long time enthusiast and
collector here in Michigan where the car was enjoyed on fair
weather days, Local shows, and Car + Coffees events. 2012 Frame off
Restoration highlights included stripping and recoating the
original frame, but not before installing a Nova front end
conversion with QA1 coilovers and control arms and utilizing a
Camaro rear end and suspension out back. The trim, brightwork,
glass, and all seals were replaced with new. The interior was
completely redone in leather with a matching boot. A new Haartz
cloth top was fitted which perfectly complements the custom tinted
PPG Dark Cherry paint which has been expertly applied throughout
the body and also on the 15inch Rally Wheels! Complete engine
rebuild of the W big block and Transmission. 2026 LaFontaine
Classic Cars Rejuvenation Highlights included all fluids + filters,
A/C service, and a comprehensive Multi-step paint correction and
ceramic coating to preserve+ protect this special car for years to
come! In preparation of this car joining the new owners collection
another Comprehensive Pre-Purchase Inspection will be performed
before delivery.
The condition of this iconic short production run Cabriolet is
exceptional and could certainly pass for having been restored half
as many years ago! Always pampered and respectfully enjoyed! The
exterior paint has a deep glossy finish that shows very well with
no significant blemishes. All body panels are expertly gapped and
as straight as an arrow!
The interior features custom leather upholstery throughout. The
seats received new foam and covers, the door cards have been
re-trimmed and if you look closely you will see perforations for
the integrated speakers. The carpet was replaced and the
convertible top frame has been all refinished. The dash has been
completely refinished in body color and now holds a beautiful set
of Stewart Warner instruments, along with Vintage A/C Vents and
controls, and lastly the modern AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo! Always
garaged, never driven in inclement weather, Non-Smoker!
This Fleetmaster comes complete with a car cover, original
literature, service records, and ownership history!
Cabriolets made up Only 4% of Production, with so few produced
these are very hard to come by, this car in particular has been
tastefully updated, and is in remarkable condition. Whether you're

Other Notable Information: Chevy's 348c.i. ""W"" big-block engine
was introduced in 1958 and was designed for heavy-duty trucks but
gained fame as the first high-performance ""torque monster"" for
passenger cars, which ignited the Big Block Wars and paved the way
for the legendary 409 and MKII 427.
Fun Fact, there was a factory high performance variant of the 348
which was rated at 350hp! This option was called the ""Super
Turbo-Thrust 348"" and was a high-performance, factory tri-power
version of Chevrolets first big-block which was available for order
in select 1961 models and rumored to be tested in Duntov's
