This 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a really cool and really clean
vehicle with a lot of upgrades and maintenance done to it. This
vehicle underwent a complete mechanical restoration less than a
year and 1,000 miles ago. It runs and drives amazing and is ready
to roll. It spent its life in New Mexico so it is a rust free
truck. It was built to be a dependable daily driver while retaining
its original look. The body on this Jeep is excellent! It is
extremely clean and straight. The Spinnaker Blue Metallic paint
appears to be all original and is showing great patina. The
woodgrain is also original and is showing fading and patina too.
The whole look is really cool. The original chrome and stainless is
in nice condition. It does have aftermarket front and rear bumpers/
The front has a new 12,000 pound Badlands winch that is working.
The underside of this rig is super clean and we found no rust
issues with this vehicle.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The front seats have
been professionally redone and look awesome! The rear is original
and nice. It also has a professionally installed new headliner. The
carpet, door panels, dash, and dash bezel are original and nice.
The headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. It has working power windows and
locks: the window motors and lock actuators/solenoids were all
replaced in the last year. The power rear window works and the
whole assembly was rebuilt and has a new motor. There are new
window swipes all around. Power seats are working. The horn and
windshield wipers work and the heat and AC work. It also has an
upgraded stereo with Bluetooth that is working. It is a rare find
to have one of these with everything working as it should.
Mechanically this Jeep is excellent and it runs and drives awesome.
The engine was replaced with a crate 5.9L 360 V8 from BJ's Jeep
Off-Road and we have the receipt. There eis less than 1,000 miles
on it. They added a new aluminum radiator at that time with new
hoses. Other new items when the engine was installed include a new
waterpump, new alternator, new starter, new power steering pump,
new AC Compressor, new belts, full tune-up, new carb, new ignition
module, and Flowmaster Exhaust. Other new items include an aluminum
27 Gallon Fuel Tank and sending unit and a new steering gear box.
The transmission is the 727 Automatic that shifts great. It was
also rebuilt with a new torque converter (have receipt). It is
mated to the np228 transfer case and the 4WD works like it should.
The transfer case was also rebuilt by BJ's and we have the receipt.
The rear axle is a Dana 44 with 3.31 gears. The front axle is also
a Dana 44 with 3.31 gears. It has a BJ's 4 Inch all spring lift kit
that was professionally installed with new springs, new shocks, new
brake lines, new bushings, and new steering stabilizer. This is all
sitting on a nice set of factory aluminum wheels with like new 31
Inch All terrain Tires. It doesn't get much better than this.
