1963 Ford Shelby 289 FIA Cobra by Hi-Tech Motorsports, S/N HTM65C0108, Blue with yellow stripes, headlamp covers. Built by Hi-Tech Motorsports in Tempe, AZ in 1994, Hi-Tech was known for their great chassis’ and accurate and well built fiberglass bodies. First owner til 2001. Second owner, a well known car collector in Newport Beach owned 0108 from 2001 until 2025, 3rd owner, another local collector til present. Serviced and maintained by Division 2, Cobra specialists, since 2001. The Cobra has a built 289 with 302 crank, bored .30 over, balanced and blueprinted and built by Valley Head Service and dyno’d by them at 410HP according to 3 ring binder that comes with the car. Stewart Warner gauges, Wilwood front and rear discs, 18 gallon racing fuel cell, 5 Halibrand style rims with correct type knock-offs. Recent tires, dual fuel pumps, suspension components and more. There are very few cars that deliver the visceral, analog and race-like experience like a 289 Cobra replica…it is way too much car for the normal human and way too much car for the street…which is exactly why all “car guys” want to own one of these…this is a great, low cost entry into “Cobra” ownership.
