INTRODUCTION: VIN-matching engine, finished in its factory-correct
colors, and fully documented with the original invoice and Deluxe
Marti Report. It has been concours restored with judging sheets
showing only 16 points deducted. I can't believe this car was
restored in the early '90s, it looks like it was done a year ago!
Only 300 miles since it was finished, it has been thoroughly
serviced recently, making it ready to be enjoyed.
EXTERIOR: Absolutely beautiful-the Fastback body style is one of
the best of all time, and in its factory Calypso Coral, it's in a
whole different category. The body is as good as it gets. The paint
has truly stood the test of time-arrow straight with some of the
best panel gaps I've ever seen on a Mustang. There's no rust or
damage, and the finish is polished like glass. It features the
correct reflective side stripes along with matte-finish stripes on
the hood, trunk lid, and rear tail panel. All of the chrome and
trim are in excellent condition. It appears to retain all of its
original glass, including the windshield, which helps support the
claim of just 46,000 actual miles. It has a great, sporty look with
front and rear spoilers, window louvers, and racing mirrors. The
Magnum 500 wheels complete the look perfectly, wrapped in
reproduction tires to keep it true to original.
INTERIOR: Sitting in this car feels like stepping back to 1970.
It's completely authentic with no modifications, and it presents
like new from the carpet to the headliner. The dash pad is mint,
and the instrument panel is excellent, featuring a factory
tachometer. The original AM radio is still in place. The
upholstery, door panels, headliner, and visors are all in
outstanding condition. It even has the correct Hurst T-handle on
the 4-speed shifter-just the way it should be.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Completely restored to factory-correct,
original condition-including its born-with, VIN-matching BOSS 302
engine. The components are all correct as well, including the
aluminum intake, Holley carb, complete air cleaner with original
snorkel and heat riser tube, and finned aluminum valve covers. Even
the small details are right-reproduction date-coded spark plug
wires, correct hoses and clamps, and it still retains the complete
smog system, which is rarely seen today. The distributor, pulleys,
fan, radiator, and wiring are all proper and authentic. It comes
equipped with power brakes and also features the optional power
steering. Every surface is neatly finished in the correct factory
colors. It's complete, concours-correct, and meticulously detailed
throughout.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Impressive in here too! Under the trunk lid is a
clean matte finish with new weatherstrip, the correct decal, and
prop rod in place. Inside, it's all clean, solid metal, painted
very nicely. A reproduction mat is properly fitted, and it still
includes the original collapsible spare and jack assembly-just the
way it should be.
UNDERSIDE: It is completely restored and concours-correct
underneath as well. The competition suspension, including the
staggered shocks, has been entirely rebuilt. The brake system has
been completely gone through and features front disc brakes, and
the emergency brake is hooked up properly. It has the correct
exhaust system with a crossover pipe and turndown tailpipes. The
fuel system has also been replaced. Looking up at the engine, it is
clean and painted the proper Ford blue, even down to the Motorcraft
oil filter. It has the correct 4-speed transmission and the correct
rear end, although the gears have been changed to a 4.10 ratio. The
floors and frame rails are all pristine metal, painted just as they
would have been from the factory, with primer and Calypso Coral
overspray.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: This car has integrity-it has proven itself over time.
Not many paint jobs look this good when they're new, let alone over
30 years later, and this one is still show-ready. There are very
few Boss 302s with their true #s matching motor,c regardless of
what the sellers may claim. This one is documented and authentic,
making it a truly special, investment-grade car. Go look at the
others if you'd like... maybe this one will still be here when you
get back. Or don't take the chance-buy it now!
