This custom 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a
502ci ZZ crate big-block engine equipped with ceramic-coated Hooker
long-tube headers, an Accel Gen7 ECU with DFI and an Accel DFI Dual
Sync distributor. Power is delivered through a Tremec TKX
five-speed manual transmission with hydraulic Wilwood master
cylinder and throw-out bearing. Cooling is provided by a DeWitts
big-block radiator with dual electric fans. The electrical system
includes a 65-amp Powermaster alternator, XS Torque starter and
Lectric Limited wiring harnesses for the front, rear and dash with
fuse block. Fuel is supplied by an OEM fuel tank fitted with an ATL
Black Box in-tank fuel pump kit. This Corvette underwent a body-off
rebuild and rides on a modified 1965 powder-coated chassis with
rebuilt or replaced suspension components and bushings. The front
suspension features a double wishbone setup with adjustable
coilover shocks, custom sway bar and Mustang II power
rack-and-pinion steering. The rear suspension utilizes a four-link
setup with fiberglass mono leaf spring and carbon-fiber half
shafts. Stopping is handled by Wilwood calipers with dual master
cylinder and new brake lines. The exterior is refinished in
three-stage GM paint code WA252F and rides on American Racing Torq
Thrust wheels with BFGoodrich tires. The interior features new
leather seat covers, foam and support springs, along with sound and
heat insulation beneath the carpeting. A Pioneer Bluetooth
hands-free radio is mounted in the glove box. Additional details
include a heater delete plate and no air conditioning and no
emergency brake installed, although the brake lever and cable are
included. According to the seller, the ammeter is inoperative due
to the one-wire alternator connection, and the fuel gauge operates
intermittently.
