(3.7 liters) powerplant produced by Buick, which was era-correct
and last offered in the CJ5 during 1971. The Jeep is finished in a
flat beige-tan "sand" color, with a three-speed manual transmission
shifted on the floor, and a two-barrel carburetor. 4 wheel drive of
course operated by locking hubs on the front wheels and a floor
lever. Riding on Toyo radial tires (235/75/15), and featuring a
rear receiver hitch. The vehicle maintains many original steel body
components, including the tub, hood, and front fenders. Service
work performed includes a recently added heater, new water pump and
gaskets, four new wheel cylinders, and upgraded wiring. It
originally came from California, and an interesting addition is a
safe located under the driver's seat, with the combination provided
to the buyer. The interior has vinyl seats with added seat belts,
soft removable doors, and a simple functional dashboard featuring
an added aftermarket temperature gauge. The engine bay is clean,
and the vehicle includes a battery tender and an extra steering
wheel which appears original. It features a manual choke, an
aftermarket windshield wiper system, and rides nicely on the road.
The Jeep is a utilitarian design with bucket seats, a soft bimini
top, and functional storage.
