INTRODUCTION: This is an extremely nice build-you could look at a
thousand cars, and this one would easily land in the top ten. It's
also wonderfully unexpected, with a modern Coyote engine under the
hood and a fully upgraded chassis underneath.
EXTERIOR: Jewelry, laser-straight, mirror finish-whatever
complimentary terms you can think of, they all apply to this car!
Literally every square inch of the body is straight as an arrow.
The panel gaps are as precise as a new Mercedes, and the doors
close with a solid, confident click. From the rockers to the roof.
I couldn't find a single flaw-no pimples, no hairline cracks,
nothing. The Raven Black paint is buffed to a true mirror finish...
you could read the fine print of a contract in the reflection! All
of the chrome has been replated, and every piece of trim has been
straightened and polished to a high standard. The windshield is
new, and the jambs are finished just as nicely as the exterior.
It's sitting on the perfect set of 17-inch highly polished Torque
Thrust wheels, extra-wide in the rear, all wrapped in performance
Sport Comp.
INTERIOR: Very meticulously restored with a focus on authenticity.
The interior was completely gutted and lined with sound deadener,
then finished with precisely fitted carpet-there isn't a wrinkle
anywhere. It also features matching embroidered carpet mats. The
seats have been fully rebuilt front and rear with new springs,
cushions, and upholstery in factory-correct materials, complete
with chrome piping. The door panels have been replaced with
factory-style originals. All interior chrome has been replated and
shines like jewelry, while the metal trim has been refinished to a
glass finish black. The instruments, knobs, and bezels have all
been restored. The radio may look original, but it's been rebuilt
with modern internals and paired with 6x9 speakers in the rear for
upgraded sound. You don't see it but there is air conditioning,
it's kept underneath the dash so the appearance isn't altered. Up
above, there's a new, tight-fitting headliner along with new visors
and mirror. A rare factory center console sits between the seats,
and just ahead of it is a 5-speed Hurst shifter. A classic walnut
steering wheel is the perfect finishing touch.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is one of those builds nobody sees
coming-a modern Coyote crate motor under the hood! That's what
makes it so cool. It's powered by a 5.0L 32-valve Coyote engine
putting out 420 horsepower. The engine bay is exceptionally clean
and well thought out. The alternator and A/C compressor are mounted
low for a smooth, uncluttered appearance. It features coated
headers and a custom air intake tube for easy breathing. It stays
cool with an aluminum radiator, overflow bottle, and electric fan.
The bay itself has been fully smoothed and finished in a high-gloss
paint, with stainless hardware used throughout. It's the perfect
blend of modern performance and show-quality craftsmanship.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's all clean, solid metal, finished in a
smooth black finish. You can see the top of the polished fuel tank,
and it has a spare tire cover and battery cover. The battery has
been neatly relocated to the trunk for a cleaner engine bay and
better weight distribution.
UNDERSIDE: Up front, it features a Heidts independent suspension
with tubular control arms, coilover shocks, a sway bar, and
rack-and-pinion steering. It's further strengthened by a
fabricated, welded-in chassis that adds rigidity and prevents body
twist. Out back, it has custom-built tubular frame rails with a
4-link setup, tubular control arms, adjustable coilover gas shocks,
and dual Panhard bars. The 2-inch polished stainless exhaust looks
as good as it sounds, featuring an X-pipe and MagnaFlow mufflers.
The fuel system is all new with a polished stainless tank. Braking
is handled by Wilwood drilled and slotted discs at all four
corners-13-inch rotors with 6-piston calipers up front and 12-inch
with 4-piston calipers in back-along with a custom emergency brake
assembly. Looking up at the engine, it's spotless and detailed,
including a high-torque starter. It's backed by a Tremec TKO 600
5-speed manual with a Centerforce dual friction clutch, sending
power through an aluminum driveshaft to a 9-inch rear with 3.50
Trac-Lok gears and 31-spline Moser axles. The floors are pristine
metal, neatly finished in semi-gloss black. This is a meticulously
built car, with every component installed with care and
precision.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to service the essentials on every car
we sell.
CONCLUSION: We acquired this car directly from the
collector/builder in Georgia. He put about 2,000 miles on it,
though you'd swear it hasn't been driven-it's been cared for with
incredible attention to detail. It's been a long time since we've
had everyone in the shop genuinely raving about a car like this.
The quality, the presence, the execution-it really stands out.
There won't be another one quite like it. Don't miss your chance on
this one.
