upgraded 235hp 5.0-liter V-8 engine paired with an automatic
transmission. It is equipped with power steering and upgraded
power-assisted front disc brakes with rear drums, along with an
upgraded suspension. The vehicle underwent a full frame-off
restoration completed in 2003 by Marvin Hill of Hills Classics. The
exterior is finished in white and rides on Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels
fitted with whitewall tires. The interior features a
power-adjustable bench seat upholstered in red vinyl with a
color-matched dashboard, door panels and carpets. Additional
interior details include engine-turned aluminum trim,
Thunderbird-branded floor mats, polished door sills and red lap
belts. Equipment includes air conditioning, AutoMeter gauges and a
retro-style AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car received the Senior
Modified Gold Medallion Award with a score of 248-plus out of 250
points and was awarded Preservation Gold in 2006. Approximately
1,000 miles have been driven since completion, and the vehicle has
been stored in a climate-controlled garage with a battery tender
when not in use.
