This 1973 Volkswagen 23-Window Microbus re-creation is powered by a
factory-original 1500cc four-cylinder engine producing 65hp, paired
with a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission and sport shift
lever. The engine is equipped with a custom air filter, new
carburetor, distributor, ignition coil, spark plugs and cables. The
suspension, steering and braking systems were rebuilt using
original Volkswagen parts. The electrical system was fully redone
and converted to a 12-volt system with a voltage regulator, wiring
and battery. The exterior is finished in Volkswagen Paina White and
Flash Red two-tone paint, and features a large retractable
panoramic canvas sunroof, split windshield with safari-style chrome
front openings, EMPI stainless-steel headlight grilles and original
exterior trim, mirrors, wiper arms and Volkswagen badging. It rides
on 15-inch chrome wheels with a lowered stance. The interior
features restored seats with new foam and springs upholstered in
Ivory White and gray ecological vinyl leather with standard
Volkswagen stitching. Matching door panels and headliner complete
the cabin along with a stainless-steel and wood sport steering
wheel finished in white lacquer. This vehicle has seating for nine
passengers.
