a turbocharged 2.0-liter flat-four engine sourced from a 2003
Subaru WRX donor, professionally rebuilt by a master Subaru
technician to factory specifications. Featuring a zero-time build
with a new short block and turbocharger, this setup provides a
strong, reliable foundation with plenty of room for additional
tuning and power gains.
Power is routed through a 5-speed manual transmission paired to a
stock 2006 WRX rear end, offering a direct and engaging connection
to the road. With an estimated 7,000 miles since completion, this
818S has been enjoyed but remains ready for its next enthusiast
owner.
Built on a factory powder-coated frame, this 818S emphasizes
lightweight performance and sharp handling. It rides on factory
aluminum wheels wrapped in Dunlop Direzza Star Spec II tires,
providing excellent grip for spirited driving, track days, or
autocross events. Inside, BiMarco racing seats offer a true
motorsport feel, while the minimalist cockpit keeps the focus on
driving.
Additional highlights include a clean, simple exhaust system and a
custom twin-fan cooling setup for the intercooler, helping maintain
consistent performance under demanding conditions. Designed as a
street-legal track car, this 818S is equally at home carving
corners at the track or cruising around town.
Originally introduced in 2013, the Factory Five 818 platform
quickly gained recognition for its innovative use of Subaru WRX
components combined with an ultra-lightweight chassis. This example
stays true to that vision, delivering an impressive power-to-weight
