sinister matte black that gives this legendary lead-sled an
unmistakable presence. Few classics represent the early custom car
movement like the 1949-1951 Mercury, and this build takes that
heritage to the next level with a full high-end custom
transformation blending vintage style with modern performance and
comfort.
This Mercury features a chopped, channeled, shaved, and frenched
body, creating a low, smooth, aggressive profile true to classic
custom culture. It rides on a Cadillac front clip, including a
1975-1976 Cadillac DeVille front clip setup, giving it modernized
underpinnings and improved drivability. The exterior is finished
with a 1953 DeSoto grille, 1950 Buick headlight assemblies, and
1959 Cadillac taillights, combining some of the most iconic design
elements from multiple eras of American styling.
Power comes from a Cadillac 500 CID (BB500) V8, delivering massive
torque and a deep, commanding rumble, paired with an automatic
transmission for effortless cruising.
Inside, the cabin has been fully updated with 2022 BMW seats, a
1960 Chevrolet Impala dash with Dakota digital gauges, a billet
steering wheel, and a Quick Silver shifter. Comfort and usability
are enhanced with a Vintage Air Super Gen II system, power windows,
power locks, remote door poppers, and suicide-style wipers.
Entertainment is handled by a P.L.Z. double DIN radio with JBL
speakers, while air-assisted shocks with compressor support help
maintain ride quality with its aggressive stance. It rides on
American Racing aluminum wheels wrapped in Road Hugger tires for a
perfect mix of classic hot rod style and modern road manners.
