*1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Custom*The 1966 Chevelle stands as one of
the ultimate muscle cars from the era and makes for an outstanding
base to create a custom hot rod to meet your taste. This 1966
Chevelle was treated to a multi-year frame off pro-touring-style
build by Revolution Speed Shop in Auburn, WA and has been completed
to an outstandingly high level.Although the shape of the car is
pure '66 Chevelle, it is clear that considerable work has been
carried out to make this look completely unique. The bumpers were
tucked and their hardware was shaved, and all of the exterior
chrome was either deleted or powder coated black. When paired with
the deep metallic gray paint and black Forgeline 18-inch GA3C
wheels gives the car an extremely sinister look. A few upgrades on
the exterior that might not be noticed on first glance include Ring
Brothers mirrors, rear ABC Performance mini-tubs to accommodate
315-section rear tires, and all new lightly smoked glass from Auto
City Classics. The interior is far from original as well - taken
down to bare metal and covered in Kill Mat to keep the noise and
heat out, all work was completed by Mark's Custom Upholstery in
Seattle, WA. Building off of European-style square weave carpet,
custom leather upholstery wraps the front bucket seats, rear bench,
door cards and dashboard. A standard-looking 2-spoke steering wheel
frames new Dakota Digital gauges, and a Vintage Air HVAC system
keeps the passengers cool. A custom stereo with classic looking
head unit and Kenwood speakers has also been installed. It would be
a disservice to have done all this work to the aesthetics and not
improved the underpinnings - and they were not skimped on. Powering
this Chevelle is a 427ci LS-based stroker V8 that was assembled
with Air Flow Research 215 cylinder heads, a Brian Tooley Racing
stage-3 cam, forged Eagle rotating assembly and a Holley Sniper
low-rise EFI intake. As you would imagine, the car sounds
incredible and sends power through a Tremec T56 Magnum 6-speed
manual gearbox to the rear wheels via a Ford 9-Inch rear end with
3.73 gears and a positraction rear differential. The driveline is
rated to 900 horsepower so you know it can take whatever you throw
at it.The suspension also received a solid group of upgrades
including a rear quadralink setup with RideTech lower brackets and
arms. At the front, custom fabrication allows for the use of
Corvette C6 spindles, uppers and lowers, along with a power rack
and pinion steering setup. The frame was entirely boxed in and
powder coated for strength and durability and custom built sway
bars have also been installed.Completing a build to this level is
extremely time consuming and pricy - and this example has been
driven less than 2,000 miles since its completion in 2023. Offering
show-stopping looks, a powerful and robust powertrain, this
Chevelle is your ticket to any muscle car show you want to attend
this summer.*Key Features* * 427ci LS-Based V8 * Forged Internals *
