This custom 1969 Ford Mustang is powered by a 351 Cleveland V-8
engine with a mild cam mated to a four-speed Toploader manual
transmission with Hurst shifter. The engine bay features chrome
trim and an aluminum radiator. Factory air conditioning components
remain with the car, and new air-conditioning lines and belts are
included but not installed. The chassis features frame
strengthening, dual traction bars, new factory leaf springs, rear
air shocks and replacement rear frame rails. The front suspension
has new shocks, springs and bushings. A dual exhaust with
Flowmaster mufflers is installed. Stopping is handled by Wilwood
four-wheel disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder and booster.
The body was disassembled and repainted in 2019. A black center
stripe runs the full length of the car and is buried in the
clearcoat. The inner headlights are finished in black, and the rear
window louver is painted gloss black to match the stripe.
Additional exterior features include a new professionally installed
windshield, LED taillights, chrome trim and new rubber seals
throughout the car, including the rear window seal installed during
the repaint process. The car rides on Mickey Thompson rear tires
and BFGoodrich front tires. The interior features leather low-back
seats sourced from a 1967 Mustang with new factory seat foam in the
front seats and integrated seat heaters. Additional interior
equipment includes new carpet, headliner, sun visors, deluxe door
panels and Mach 1 floor mats, as well as a RetroSound Bluetooth
stereo system with seven speakers and an Alpine amplifier installed
in the trunk. Interior details include a chrome tilt steering
column, wood-grain steering wheel with working horn, center console
and a Shelby dual gauge pod with oil pressure and temperature
gauges replacing the ashtray. A padded roll bar is installed and
includes a mounted fire extinguisher. Shelby-style over-shoulder
seat belts attach to the roll bar and feature custom pads
embroidered with "Mach 1." Documentation includes a Marti Report, a
professional appraisal report, and a stack of parts and service
records.
