In the last 12 months we've completed over $17k worth of maintenance and upgrades, including a Dobinson's lift, H55F 5-speed upgrade, and tuning/resealing the engine.Powered by Toyota's iconic 2F engine, which now gracefully goes down the road thanks to an added gear. From the factory the FJ60 came with a 4-speed. The 5-speed upgrade changes the entire driving dynamic of this Cruiser, allowing the engine to stay in the power band while also adding the ability for a higher top end. The exterior has been previously resprayed in the factory original Toyota Silver Metallic (color code 147), which was only available between 1985 and 1987 in the US market. Car Cave installed the complete Dobinsons lift kit with steering stabilizer to give this LC the proper stance and a refreshed ride. It feels great going down the road on new shocks, springs, and bushings paired with a set of Maxxis Mudder tires. The engine purrs like a kitten and the new transmission shifts incredibly well. There is no denying this is a well-sorted 60 Series.The front chrome bumper features a tow hook, and the rear chrome bumper features a hitch receiver. The roof rails supply extra storage for all the equipment you'll need out on the trail.Car Cave has performed $17,000 worth of maintenance on this FJ60, including upgrading the transmission assembly from the OEM 4-speed manual to an H55F 5-speed manual for better drivability; replacing the clutch master cylinder; resurfacing the flywheel; installing a Dobinson lift kit; installing a new Weber carburetor; installing an oil pressure gauge; resealing the crankshaft oil seal and differential pinion seal; replacing the transfer case gasket, engine oil pan gasket, crankshaft oil seal, and engine front cover gasket; and completing a full exterior and interior detailing.
