The 68' Charger is a very desirable model for its staple styling
points and rugged muscle car silhouette. Finished in White and
complemented by a black bucket seat interior. The original trim and
bright work show incredibly well for their age and still have a
wonderful luster! Power comes from the numbers matching 383c.i. V8
paired with a numbers matching A8334-Speed which sends power
through a 8-3/4"" axle housing spinning the factory 3.23 rear gear!
Completing the muscle car look are the iconic Hideaway headlights,
optional dual sport tail stripes, Pit-stop gas cap, and the new
15in Mag wheels wrapped in raised white Letter BFG's!
Looking inside you'll find a black interior with bucket seats and a
console shifted 4-speed! On the dash are the stock gauges in great
condition, stock 3-spoke steering wheel framing the 150mph Speedo,
the famous Tic-Tok Tach, Factory AM radio, and Heater controls. The
date correct seat belts are still present front and back.
Under the hood is a very well detailed engine compartment with a
freshly serviced 4bbl 383c.i. engine fitted with factory Intake,
carter carb, and exhaust manifolds!
The Underside still wears its factory undercoat and is free of rust
or panel replacement, it shows all the signs of a well cared for
car with 44k miles
This is a three owner car that spent life in Illinois and Alabama
and still retains its original body, numbers matching drivetrain,
Trim tag, and Broadcast sheet! The paint was refinished in the
early 90's and shows very well with only minor imperfections, the
engine pulls strong and is said to have been rebuilt in recent
years. This car has many impressive attributes and has been
undeniably well cared for throughout its life.
Only 259 units were produced with the 383 cubic-inch (6.3-liter)
four-barrel V8 engine and a four-speed manual transmission. While
383 engines were common in '68 Chargers the 4-speed manual/383
combo makes this a very rare configuration. For perspective 211
Hemi 4-speeds were built in 68 !
