Overview
This 1978 FJ40 has been a fun weekend cruiser for our family and has always been garage kept during my ownership.
I purchased the truck in 2014 and am the third owner. The truck had already undergone restoration work by the previous owner including installation of an Aqualu aluminum tub, fiberglass removable top, and repaint in a classic Volvo beige color that fits the vintage Land Cruiser look extremely well.
The truck runs strong, starts immediately, idles smoothly, and drives very well around town. I’ve had it up to 75 mph on the highway, although like most classic FJ40s it’s happiest cruising around town or on country roads.
All major suspension and mechanical work has been completed by well-respected Land Cruiser specialty mechanics.
