The Ford Fairlane was introduced as Ford's flagship automobile in
1955. Throughout the years, Ford produced 7 different generations
of the Fairlane and with each new generation, the Fairlane
continued to grow and change with the ever evolving automotive
market. This stunning 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 is an excellent
example of the fourth generation of the Fairlane. This Fairlane 500
benefits from a very extensive and nicely documented restoration
finished in a beautiful White exterior paint. The Fairlane's White
exterior is in overall excellent condition and is nicely
complimented by its factory chrome and stainless trim, period
correct Thunderbolt hood, Thunderbolt style fiberglass bumpers, and
a set of factory-style steel wheels fitted with "dog dish" hubcaps
and wrapped in Sentury Touring radial tires (dated 2018). This
Fairlane 500 features a striking, factory-style Blue vinyl, bench
seat interior that is in excellent condition throughout. The
interior has been nicely updated with Retrosound AM/FM radio,
B&M Quik Silver ratchet shifter, and Speedhut digital gauges.
Powering the Fairlane is a well built, Holley Sniper fuel-injected
ATK 302 crate engine backed by a Pro-Streeter C4 3-speed automatic
transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they
should and deliver a much more capable driving experience than
stock. Transferring power to the rear tires is a reinforced, spool
9" Ford with 3.25:1 final drive gears. This Fairlane handles the
road much better than stock thanks to a number of suspension
updates including: front and rear coilover shocks and a Ridetech
4-link rear suspension kit. If you are in the market for a nicely
restored Ford Fairlane that is turn-key ready to enjoy and would
present very well at any car show or cruise-in, then you will want
to take a very close look at this gorgeous 1964 Ford Fairlane.
