The classic truck market is one that that has been rapidly growing
and one of the most iconic trucks benefitting from this market
growth is the Chevrolet C10. Due to the growing popularity of these
great, classic trucks, the aftermarket support has also grown
considerably. This has allowed customers to restore or build these
trucks to any specification they desire. Patina style restorations
continue to be a very popular choice for builders and this
particular GMC has recently undergone such a restoration. This 1964
GMC 3/4 ton pickup benefits from a recently completed and very
extensive patina-style restoration with only 1300 miles on the
restoration. During the restoration, the original 3/4 ton, long bed
chassis was shortened and the leaf springs were removed to convert
the truck to 1/2 ton specification and give it that great short bed
platform. The GMC's very recent repaint in its current satin Teal
presents very well and is nicely complimented by its hand-laid
lettering, factory 6-cylinder emblems, factory GMC emblems and a
set of factory style steel wheels fitted with hubcaps and beauty
rings. This awesome GMC features a custom Grey vinyl interior that
is in excellent condition throughout and benefits from a number of
custom touches including: a dash mounted hula girl, digital New
Vintage USA gauges, a Lokar shifter, and Retrosound AM/FM radio
with aux input. Powering this great GMC pickup is a well built
small block 327 cubic inch V8, built by Ultra Tech Racing Engines
in Indiana, backed by a rebuilt 700R4 4-speed automatic
transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they
should and have no issues pulling this patina pickup down the road
with ease. Transferring power to the rear tires is a Posi-traction
12-bolt rearend fitted with 3.73:1 final drive gears. This GMC is
nicely equipped with options such as: power steering, power brakes,
Retrosound AM/FM radio w/ Aux input, New Vintage USA digital
gauges, and variable speed wipers. Included with the sale of this
great truck is a collection of receipts and photos documenting the
restoration/build. If you are in the market for a very well built,
classic pickup truck that runs and drives just as it should and
will be a hit at your local cruise-in or car show, then you will
want to take a very close look at this 1964 GMC pickup.
