The high-performance partnership between Carroll Shelby and Ford
Motor Company has produced some of the most legendary American
performance cars ever built. Continuing that legacy into the modern
era, Shelby American introduced the Super Snake program-an
exclusive factory-authorized transformation that elevated the
already formidable Shelby GT500 into an ultra-high-performance
machine with dramatically increased horsepower, upgraded
suspension, enhanced braking, and distinctive Shelby styling
cues.
Offered here is a striking 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Super
Snake coupe showing just 14,000 miles. Finished in Black with matte
black Le Mans center stripes and Super Snake GT500 side stripes,
the car features a dramatic appearance enhanced by carbon-fiber
exterior trim, including a front splitter, rocker panels, and
mirror caps. Additional exterior details include a fiberglass hood
with scoop and hood pins, black grille inserts with fog lamps, side
and quarter-window scoops, a rear decklid spoiler, sequential
taillights, and Shelby trunk-lid lettering.
The car rides on forged 20-inch Shelby Alcoa wheels wrapped in
Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 255/35 front and 275/35 rear,
providing both grip and aggressive stance. Stopping power is
delivered by Shelby Baer Extreme six-piston calipers finished in
orange clamping cross-drilled and slotted disc brakes at all four
corners. The chassis benefits from Shelby-tuned Eibach coilovers
and sway bars, revised rear suspension components, brake cooling
ducts, and a front strut tower brace, resulting in significantly
enhanced handling and braking performance.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather with orange inserts,
extending across the front bucket seats, rear seating area, and
door panels. The seatbacks and center console lid feature
embroidered Super Snake logos, emphasizing the car's exclusive
Shelby pedigree. Interior features include air conditioning, cruise
control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and a Shelby/Kicker
premium audio system. A short-throw shifter with white Shelby shift
knob adds a purposeful performance touch, while an Escort Passport
radar detector system has also been integrated.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and tachometer with
a 6,000-rpm redline along with gauges for fuel level, coolant
temperature, boost pressure, and oil pressure. Mounted atop the
dash are Carroll Shelby-signature carbon-fiber AutoMeter Ultra-Lite
gauges monitoring boost pressure, fuel pressure, and oil pressure.
Serialized plaques located on the dashboard, door sills, and engine
bay identify the car as Super Snake CSM number 07SS0508, confirming
its authenticity within Shelby's registry.
Power comes from a supercharged 5.4-liter V8, upgraded by Shelby
American in 2011 with the installation of a polished 3.6-liter
Kenne Bell supercharger and cold-air intake system. Additional
enhancements include aluminum fluid reservoirs with billet caps, a
revised exhaust system, and ECU recalibration performed in 2013. A
chassis dynamometer test from that year recorded an impressive 727
horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque, placing this Super Snake firmly
among the most potent modern Shelby performance cars.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec TR-6060
six-speed manual transmission, one-piece aluminum driveshaft,
paired with a 3.73:1 limited-slip differential, providing
exceptional acceleration and driver engagement.
The accompanying window sticker shows initial delivery to Prater
Ford in Calhoun, Georgia, with an original MSRP of $43,765.
Documentation included with the car consists of the owner's manual,
original window sticker, Shelby American build invoice, Certificate
of Authenticity, Super Snake service invoices, and related
literature, supporting its provenance and Shelby conversion
history.
With its low mileage, documented Shelby American Super Snake
conversion, and dyno-proven 727-horsepower output, this 2007 Shelby
GT500 Super Snake represents a thrilling modern continuation of the
Shelby performance legacy-offering supercar-level power combined
with the unmistakable presence and heritage of the Shelby name.
