No Reserve Classics proudly presents this1969 Chevrolet Chevelle
496 Big Block, TH400, 12-Bolt Posi Rear Restomod!
Powering this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle is a built 496 cubic-inch big
block V8, delivering an estimated 475 horsepower and the
unmistakable torque that defines classic American muscle. The
engine is built with Keith Black small dome pistons paired with
Eagle connecting rods and an internally balanced crankshaft
designed for durability and high-RPM capability. Airflow is
enhanced through ported and polished GM 781 oval port heads, while
a high-rise aluminum intake feeds a Holley 950 carburetor, ensuring
this stroked big block receives all the fuel it needs. Ignition
duties are handled by an MSD electronic ignition system, providing
strong and consistent spark for maximum performance. Power is sent
through a robust TH400 automatic transmission to a 12-bolt
posi-traction rear end equipped with a 3.42 gear ratio, offering an
ideal balance of off-the-line acceleration and comfortable
cruising.
The exterior of this Chevelle showcases the iconic
second-generation body style introduced in 1968, known for its
muscular stance and flowing body lines. Finished in deep black
paint, the body is laser straight with a finish that reflects light
with exceptional depth and clarity. Bright chrome trim and accents
shine brilliantly and complement the car's aggressive yet refined
appearance. Custom aluminum wheels give the Chevelle a subtle
modern edge while maintaining the classic muscle car look.
Inside, the Chevelle retains its classic muscle car character with
a clean vinyl interior and bucket seats that provide both comfort
and period-correct styling. The driver is greeted by a tilt
steering column and a straightforward cockpit designed around
performance driving. An AM/FM radio provides entertainment while
seat belts ensure safety. The interior reflects the timeless design
language that made the Chevelle one of the most beloved muscle cars
of its era.
Built to handle the power of the stroked 496 big block, this
Chevelle features power steering and power brakes for improved
drivability and control. The combination of a TH400 transmission,
12-bolt posi rear end, and 3.42 gears ensures that the car delivers
strong acceleration while remaining comfortable enough for
cruising. This setup represents the perfect balance between classic
muscle car performance and real-world drivability.
