An amazing history is found in this 1941 Chevrolet Master Deluxe.
Purchased in 1941 in Southern California by newlyweds ASAF 2nd
Lieutenant James Moore and his new wife Shirley, being just 22 and
20 years old. As the family grew and the Moore's were transferred
to various locations, the 1941 Chevrolet remained their sole
"family" car. Purchasing a new car in 1955, the 1941 Chevrolet
remained as the personal car of James. In later years, as the
Moore's were assigned to serve in Taiwan, the '41 was stored in
their son's garage in Santa Barbara, CA. Then in 1976, being a
Colonel in the Air Force, Col. Moore retired to become a "gentleman
rancher", taking the '41 to the ranch in Auburn CA where it was
garaged and only rarely driven on special occasions. In 1995, Moore
had the '41 meticulously restored, once again becoming the Moore's
pride. The Colonel passed in 1999, whereby the family heirs
retained possession of the heirloom. The 1941 is now ready to
become the pride of its next caretaker. The Chevrolet Master and
Master Deluxe are American passenger vehicles manufactured by
Chevrolet between 1933 and 1942 to replace the 1933 Master Eagle.
It was the most expensive model in the Chevrolet range at this
time. Starting with this generation, all GM cars shared a corporate
appearance as a result of the Art and Color Section headed by
Harley Earl. From 1940 a more expensive version based on the Master
Deluxe was launched called the Special Deluxe. The updated
corporate appearance introduced a concealed radiator behind a
faade with a grille. The 1941 Chevrolet Master Deluxe was a
significant model in Chevrolet's lineup. It was part of the Master
Deluxe series, which was the entry-level model for the brand at
that time. The Master Deluxe featured a complete redesign for 1941,
introducing independent front suspension, which improved handling
compared to its predecessor that retained a beam front axle on leaf
springs. This model was known for its stylish design and was a
popular choice among consumers during its production period. ***If
