This custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air is powered by a 350ci LT1 V-8
engine bored .030 over and balanced with an Edelbrock high-rise
aluminum intake manifold, Accel ignition, GM high-performance
double-hump cylinder heads, J&E pistons, custom roller camshaft
and Eagle crankshaft and rods. Power is delivered through a Doug
Nash racing five-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter and
line lock to a GM 12-bolt differential with a 3.73 gear ratio and
Positraction. Cooling is handled by dual electric fans with chrome
and aluminum covers in the engine bay. The car is equipped with
dual exhaust with electric cutouts, ladder-bar rear suspension with
coilover shocks and a driveshaft hoop. Stopping is handled by
four-wheel disc brakes. The exterior is finished in Black Cherry
paint with gold flake and ghost flames under 17 coats of clear. The
hood features shaved trim with hood pins, and the trunk lid is
shaved with the opener located inside the gas tank door. The
underside of the hood and trunk lid are painted to match the
exterior finish. All exterior trim chrome has been replaced, and
the car is fitted with new tinted glass. Aluminum alloy cast
drag-style wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The
interior features red cloth and white leather seats with four red
seat belts, red carpeting and wood-tone door panels. A Summit
Racing chrome tilt steering column is installed along with a Dakota
Digital dash with quick-look tachometer, digital clock, an AM/FM
stereo with six-disc changer and amplifier, and interior heat. A
kill switch is mounted under the rear bumper. Included with the
sale is a California car cover, show trophies, invoices and history
of the vehicle.
