This black 1959 Ford Thunderbird convertible has been restored to
its original condition. Powering the convertible is a Thunderbird
352ci Interceptor Special V-8 engine mated to a three-speed manual
transmission. Under the forward-tilting hood, this V-8 Interceptor
Special pumps out 300hp courtesy of the four-barrel carburetor. The
performance engine valve train is protected by the Ford-stamped
steel valve covers in traditional Ford Blue paint. A manual column
shifter propels the Thunderbird, while manual steering and brakes
keep the drop-top pointed in the right direction. The exterior
features Kelsey-Hayes-style wire wheels wrapped with wide whitewall
tires, rear-wheel fender skirts, dual side rearview mirrors, Ford
Magic-Air heater and a power-operated black Haartz convertible top.
The interior is wrapped in black-and-white leather upholstery and
features a push-button AM radio nestled in the dash, a center
console and chrome vent windows for extra cabin air.
