Classic Car Addict is proud to present this rare 4-speed manual one
owner 1981 Chevrolet Corvette for sale in our Mesa, Arizona
showroom. 1981 was no ordinary year for Corvette - it was the end
of an era and the dawn of something new! The final year for a
carbureted V8 and the last 4-speed manual you could buy in a C3,
this was Corvette's glorious farewell to pure analog performance.
It was also the year production shifted to Bowling Green, Kentucky,
marking a whole new chapter in Corvette history. For a short time,
both the old St. Louis and new Bowling Green plants-built Corvettes
side by side - a one-year-only event that makes the '81 uniquely
collectible.
The car is finished in red (75L) and features removable color
matched T-top roof panels, pop-up headlights, side marker lights,
fender air vents, sport mirrors, and quad taillights. The 15"
eight-slot alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich radial T/A
tires and braking is handled by four-wheel power assisted
discs.
The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in red leather along with a
color-matching dash, center console, door panels, and carpeting.
Interior amenities include a power-adjustable driver's seat, cruise
control, power windows, and ice-cold air conditioning. The factory
Delco AM/FM cassette radio does work. A three-spoke red leather
wrapped steering wheels frames an 85-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm
tachometer. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil
pressure, volts, and fuel level are located in the center stack.
The five-digit odometer shows 35,669 miles.
The 350ci L81 V8 is numbers matching and was rated at 190
horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. It features a 4-bolt main,
aluminum intake, dual snorkel, and finned valve covers that helped
reduce the total weight of the Corvette. Power is sent to the rear
wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a positraction
differential.
Underneath, you'll find Corvette's first fiberglass-reinforced
mono-leaf spring, shaving off 36 lbs. and adding a sharper,
smoother ride. It's lighter, tighter, and pure late-C3 perfection.
This car isn't just beautiful - it's award-winning. As an NCRS Top
Flight recipient, it's certified for its authenticity, originality,
and outstanding preservation. Call Classic Car Addict today at
