This is an older restoration of a 1950 Chevrolet 3/4 ton long bed pickup truck. It has been in my collection for over twenty years. Other than shows, I've put very few miles on since restoration...maybe 500. It has it's original 216 cu. inch engine, rebuilt during restoration, and a three speed column shift transmission.
In preparation for sale: new gas tank, sending unit and lines. Original carbuator rebuilt. New water pump (old one was noisy). All fluids changed and topped off. Drive line seals replaced. Slight leak from the pushrod cover; gasket set included. Engine tuned and valves adjusted. Brakes inspected, bled, and adjusted. Professional start up and inspection.
This is a very solid truck with no visible rust other than minor chasis surface rust. The 216 six cylinder engine runs strong, no smoke, starts on first crank. The "three on the tree" highway gears shift as normal. Brakes are strong drum type. Paint, wooden bed, interior, and trim are exceptional. It sports it's original, very rare factory two piece rims wearing wide whitewall bias tires and larger poverty caps.Tires are old, and while full treaded, should not be driven at high speed. Good for shows and around town only. Odometer functions but speedometer will need to be lubricated.
Included in sale: undercarriage spare tire carrier (unrestored), vintage commercial license plates, full all weather truck cover, reproduction operator's manual
This is a very honest truck. It is registered with rare commercial vintage license plates included. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged.
