This custom 1968 Cadillac De Ville convertible is powered by a V-8
engine paired with an automatic transmission driving the rear
wheels. Mechanical components were revived and returned to running
condition during a refurbishment performed by Sam Hard of Hard Up
Garage. The braking and suspension systems were serviced as part of
the effort to return the car to roadworthy condition. The exterior
retains the appearance of the full-size Cadillac convertible and
reflects the car's history after years of storage and outdoor
exposure following the closure of the London Motor Museum, where it
had previously been displayed. The interior was extensively cleaned
and refurbished after the car was discovered in a severely
deteriorated state with heavy dust, mold and water damage from
long-term outdoor storage. Interior equipment includes Classic
Instruments gauges. This Cadillac is associated with Snoop Dogg and
was sourced for his appearance at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards
in Munich, where it was used during the performance. After its
appearance it was displayed at the London Motor Museum before being
stored outdoors in the United Kingdom. The vehicle was later
discovered by Sam Hard of the Hard Up Garage YouTube channel and
revived as part of a documented restoration project. In 2024 the
car was transported to Paris during the Olympic Games in an attempt
to reunite the vehicle with Snoop Dogg, documenting the revival and
return of the car to the road.
