The 1996 Impala SS stands alone as the best year (1994-1996) because of the change to the floor mounted shifter and added console. The 96 SS Impala is a Caprice with sportier bodywork, 17" alloy wheels, dark trim in lieu of chrome, lowered suspension, and some performance features like a limited-slip differential and a retuned LT1 V8. The SS Impala is a one-of-a-kind sporty looking full size performance car for its day. I have personally driven this car on the 2024 30th Anniversary Hot Rod Power Tour with NO issues putting over 3000 miles in 9 days in comfort and getting decent fuel mileage. This SS Impala is in excellent condition with very low miles for its age (68,500) and has all the options you would expect for 96 including ice cold AC and was always garage kept. I have serviced this Impala to include new tires prior to leaving for the Hot Rod Power Tour, a recent oil change, transmission fluid and filter change. This SS Impala sports its ORIGINAL Paint and the LT1 engine is all stock. Please look over the pictures to verify this car has been well cared for.
