This custom 1971 Ford F-100 pickup is powered by a 5.0-liter Gen 3
Coyote V-8 engine paired with a 10-speed 10R80 automatic
transmission and four-wheel drive. The build includes a Dana 20
dual-range transfer case, a Dana 44 front axle with Mile Marker
manually locking hubs and a Ford 9-inch rear axle rebuilt with a
3.50:1 Trak-Loc limited-slip differential. The engine is equipped
with a Power by the Hour wiring harness, a Cold Case aluminum
radiator and twin electric fans. A dual exhaust system with an
H-pipe and Flowmaster exhaust is installed. The suspension has been
overhauled and includes replacement springs, bushings and KYB
shocks, along with a 1.5-inch suspension lift. Additional work
included a power steering conversion, replacement steering linkage,
powder-coated axle housings and steering knuckles, and a steering
stabilizer. The frame and body mount brackets were powder-coated
black as part of the restoration. Stopping is handled by a Wilwood
master cylinder and a Horsepower Sales LLC disc brake conversion
kit with slotted rotors. The body was stripped to bare metal before
being refinished in red with black side stripes and tailgate
accents. Exterior details include polished beltline trim,
halo-style headlights, Sport Custom emblems, Western-style side
mirrors and a spray-in bed liner. The truck rides on 17-inch Mickey
Thompson Canyon Pro wheels fitted with 265/70 Mickey Thompson Baja
Boss A/T tires. The cabin features a Snowden Custom bench seat
trimmed in black leather with red stitching, along with a TMI
Products dashboard, headliner and door panels. Interior equipment
includes an Old Air Products air-conditioning system, shoulder
belts, cup holders, power windows, power door locks, Wild Horses
transfer case levers and a custom Autosound stereo. An American
Autowire wiring harness has been installed. A padded billet
steering wheel sits ahead of a body-color TMI Products dashboard
housing Dakota Digital RTX gauges managed through an OBDII
interface. A Deluxe Marti Report documenting factory production
information and the October 21, 1970, build date accompanies the
truck. It has been driven 233 miles since completion of the
restoration.
