This Collector's Edition cruiser has spent all of its life in Texas and has wear that proves this fact. No modifications as tragic as the snorkel or swing arm spare, and no aftermarket lifts kits or bumpers anywhere. The dash is cracked from the sun, and the leather seats need to be re-covered, but the undercarriage has minimal rust. Up front we have the famous Toyota solid axle, optioned as standard for the last time in the lineup in 1997 and not seen since. Steering knuckles have been rebuilt and do not leak. Brakes are 4-wheel disc and do a fine job of stopping the rig. The brake master cylinder and booster have been replaced. Highly original including the factory alarm, stereo with tape deck/CD player combo, and includes the rare cigarette lighter. Factory paint shows patina consistent with age. AC compressor and condenser were replaced last summer, and the evaporator was removed for deep cleaning, along with a thorough flush of the refrigerant lines and drier replacement. Plenty of tread on the Yokohama AT tires mounted on the original rims, pairing well with the dead level factory suspension for an aggressive stance. Front passenger seat does not slide back and forth but does recline. Windshield is also Toyota brand with rubber seal and has rock chips and small cracks. Sunroof tilts but doesn't slide. Overall, this is a solid daily driver that represents the pinnacle of Japanese automotive history and showcases a commitment to quality from a bygone era.
