This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu sport coupe was acquired by the
previous owners uncle in 2005, and a subsequent refurbishment
spanning over 20 years was recently completed. It is powered by a
LS7 454ci crate V8 linked to a Muncie M22 four-speed manual
transmission and a 12-bolt PosiTraction rear end with 4.11:1 gears,
and equipment includes an Edelbrock intake, a solid-lifter
camshaft, long-tube headers, and HEI-style ignition. The body was
stripped and refinished in Azure Turquoise with white stripes
following body repairs and fitment of a replacement hood, and the
interior was re-trimmed in black vinyl upholstery. Air
conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes, and a Hurst
shifter were also specified during the build. The body was
refinished in Azure Turquoise during the refurbishment, and white
stripes accent the bodysides. Details include SS emblems, a
twin-dome hood, dual side mirrors, and a black-finished grille and
taillight panel. The hood, headlight and taillight bezels, door
handles, and roof moldings were replaced during the refurbishment.
The body was removed from the frame, and the remainder of the
vehicle was disassembled during the refurbishment. Photos taken
during the restoration and are available to cover the bodywork,
repaint, chassis refinishing process, engine rebuild, and more.

vinyl, and they are joined by a full-length center console with
locking storage and a Hurst T-handle shifter. The air conditioning
system received a replacement belt and compressor along with a
recharge in November 2025. The arm rests and sill plates were
replaced during the refurbishment. Instrumentation includes a
120-mph speedometer, a nonfunctional clock, and a tachometer
encircled by gauges for fuel level, temperature, oil pressure, and
battery charge. Odometer shows 97k miles, only 250 miles since
complete restoration. Now its like a brand new car from 1969!

installed as a crate motor in 2017, per the seller, who notes that
it is equipped with a 4bbl Holley carburetor, an Edelbrock intake
manifold, HEI-style ignition, a double-row timing set, and a
solid-lifter camshaft. The engine is said to achieve 12.25:1
compression. Muncie four-speed manual transmission is an M22 unit
and it routes power to a 12-bolt PosiTraction rear axle with 4.11:1
gears. The fuel tank was replaced, and the chassis was stripped and
refinished during the refurbishment. Long-tube headers are linked
to a dual exhaust system. Decoding the data plate reveals the
