1951 CHEVROLET COUPE DELUXE with EXTENSIVE DOCUMENTATION
Presented here is a 1951 Chevrolet Coupe Deluxe. The exterior is finished in corvette crystal red metallic and has recently been repainted to match. The photos before painting show a slightly different tone which has been corrected. A single new photo is added to show that recent paint job. Additionally a newer wiring harness is installed due to the body shop work. The custom interior is fully insulated and is laid out in a tan and crème color with marine vinyl and cloth throughout. It has undergone a frame off restoration roughly 8 years ago and completed by the previous owner of 30 years. I acquired it in 2021 and made additional upgrades listed below. Less than 9000 miles since restoration and absolutely no rust anywhere on this car. Upon obtaining the car I had all the chrome removed and any signs of rust was repaired at a professional body shop. Brakes were upgraded to a HydroBoost Brake system along with new Master and Slave cylinders.
Powered by a custom 406ci small block V8 engine with roller rockers and 5.7 inch rods. Also has Edelbrock heads and intake manifold. A competition Cam has been installed, as well as a new crankshaft. Sitting atop this performance powerhouse are the dual 500 CFM carburetors. All this is mated to a beefed up 700R4 automatic transmission with 2600 stall converter. The front suspension is comprised of a Mustang II front clip with power rack and pinion steering and tubular arms. The brakes were recently updated to hydroboost break system and all master/slave cylinders were upgraded to new components.
Features a 3.50 gear Ford 9 inch rear end with posi-traction and 31 spline axles. The brakes feature 11 inch Chevrolet rotors up front and 11 inch drums in the rear. An E-Stopp electric emergency brake has also been installed. Additional features include: Vintage Air, electric wipers, Stereo, Griffin Performance radiator, all new glass, rubber and felts.
