Porsche’s renewed interest in developing the 911 reached full swing by the end of the Type 964. In 1994, the company announced the 993. Produced for only a few years, the 993 proved to be the last of the air-cooled Porsches. Later cars, while ever more powerful and luxurious, don’t have quite the same ‘classic’ feel the air-cooled models do. In comparison to the 964, the 993’s most obvious changes were its headlamps and fenders along with increased power (which was later increased to 282hp with the ‘Varioram’ intake). Its interior was largely the same, with a redesigned steering wheel and center console the most notable differentiators between the two models.
Introduced in 1995 for the 1996 model year, the 993-generation 911 Carrera S combined the Turbo’s wider bodywork, brakes, and suspension and an increased output of 282hp. Produced in only limited quantities, the Carrera S offered the perfect mid-point between the standard Carrera and the Turbo. Today, these cars are well-regarded by critics and enthusiasts alike for their phenomenal road manners and fine balance between classic feel and modern amenities
The superlative 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S Sunroof Coupe featured here is finished in stunning factory Ocean Blue Metallic over an impeccably kept Cashmere (Beige) leather interior. This investment-grade final-year example is among one of the finest we've come across in years. In regards to investment, this car checks all the boxes: low miles, exceptional condition, and its rare and desirable factory color combination. Because of this, I personally believe the investment potential will grow beyond your imagination. Offered to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires only the very best at an investment price!
