This custom 1972 Chevrolet Nova is powered by a 496ci V-8 engine
built by Mark Jones of VortecPro, paired with a Turbo 400
three-speed automatic transmission. The engine features an aluminum
intake manifold, high-rise air cleaner, Chevrolet-script cast valve
covers and large-diameter headers flowing into a stainless-steel
mandrel-bent exhaust system. An Art Morrison subframe has been
added and CalTracs components support the rear suspension and
differential. The undercarriage has been detailed as part of a
rotisserie restoration. Braking is handled by Wilwood four-wheel
disc brakes with grooved and slotted rotors. The exterior is
finished in Metallic Silver with a black vinyl top and features a
steel cowl-induction hood, SS badging front and rear, 396 callout
emblems above the front fender marker lights and a blue Chevrolet
emblem on the leading edge of the hood. It rides on aftermarket
Rallye-style wheels with Chevrolet Motor Division center caps
wrapped in wide radial tires. The interior retains factory-style
bucket seats and the original center console and is equipped with
the optional factory gauge package, including console-mounted
gauges and a small in-dash tachometer, along with an SS steel-spoke
steering wheel and bright-finished pedal trim.
