The 1969 Pontiac LeMans represents the perfect blend of classic
Pontiac muscle and timeless late-60s styling. Finished in a deep
maroon exterior over a white Parchment leather interior, this
LeMans presents with a striking and sophisticated look that stands
out whether cruising down the road or sitting at a local cars and
coffee. The body lines of the '69 A-body Pontiac are among the most
recognizable of the era, and the color combination on this example
highlights those aggressive yet elegant contours beautifully.
Powering this LeMans is a very special piece of Pontiac performance
history. Under the hood sits a 389 cubic inch XS-series V8 rated at
360 horsepower. These engines were originally produced for the
legendary 1966 Pontiac GTO Tri-Power cars, with only around 190
examples built, making it a rare and desirable powerplant for
enthusiasts. The engine breathes through a modern Holley Sniper
electronic fuel injection system, giving the car the reliability,
drivability, and easy starting of a modern vehicle while
maintaining the character of a classic Pontiac V8. A new dual
exhaust system provides a deep and authoritative tone that
perfectly matches the car's performance pedigree.
Power is sent through an automatic transmission with a center
console shifter, offering an engaging yet comfortable driving
experience. This LeMans is equipped with power steering and power
brakes, making it easy to handle both in town and on longer
cruises. For improved stopping performance, the car has been
upgraded with front disc brakes. Additional recent mechanical
improvements include a new three-core aluminum radiator for
improved cooling, as well as a recently replaced rear main seal and
oil pump to ensure dependable operation.
The interior retains much of its original character, featuring the
factory Parchment upholstery and bucket seats that provide a bright
contrast to the maroon exterior. The original interior remains
impressively preserved, while tasteful updates such as new black
carpeting and a retro-style radio with four speakers add comfort
and usability without taking away from the car's classic feel.
Further enhancing the driving experience, the suspension has been
refreshed with new springs and shocks in both the front and rear,
helping the car ride smoothly and handle confidently. With its rare
Pontiac performance engine, tasteful upgrades, and striking color
combination, this 1969 Pontiac LeMans is a unique and exciting
classic that offers both collectability and enjoyable road
manners.
