Owned by actor/comedian Will Ferrell, this 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SL
roadster is powered by a 4.5-liter V-8 engine equipped with Bosch
K-Jetronic fuel injection and factory-rated at 180hp and 220 lb-ft
of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed
automatic transmission. Service performed in preparation for the
sale included changing the oil, flushing the coolant, replacing the
air and fuel filters, and changing the transmission fluid. The car
is equipped with power steering and power-assisted four-wheel disc
brakes. The brake master cylinder and steering coupler were
replaced. Finished in Silver Green, the exterior features a brown
soft-top and a color-matched removable hardtop. Additional details
include fog lights, bright mirror housings, chrome-accented bumpers
and trim, and a replacement power antenna. It rides on 14-inch
steel wheels with painted covers wrapped in 205/70 Michelin Energy
MXV4 tires. A full-size spare is stored in the trunk. The interior
is trimmed in Dark Green leather upholstery and includes bucket
seats, power windows, central locking and air conditioning. A
Becker Mexico AM/FM/cassette stereo is installed. The
air-conditioning system was recharged in preparation for sale. The
four-spoke steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a
tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline and inset analog clock, a
160-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil
