"Like the original pony car of 1964 that inspired it, today's Ford
Mustang is unique in all the automotive world. It's true now as it
has ever been; there's nothing quite like a Mustang. There's a
Mustang for anyone who takes the fun of driving seriously; the well
equipped and value packed Mustang, and the exhilarating, high
performance Mustang GT." From the 1995 sales brochure.
For consignment, a 1995 Ford Mustang GT with a title verified
26,448 actual miles. It's been owned by our consignor since 2018
and during that time, he added a bit of forced induction, a new set
of wheels, and dual exhaust.
Exterior
From the front, it looks like your basic GT in Crystal White, but
walk around the side and the 18-inch Rovos wheels in satin black
really make a statement of independence. The fourth generation
Mustang design includes rear quarter ducts and body lines to match
and the hood has faux heat extractor vents you don't get with base
Mustangs. Out back, GT is stamped into the bumper cover and color
matched tail light covers create the 90's trend of monochromatism
under a white wing. Black sport mirrors are nice pick up to the
rims while fog lights sit within the coves created by the front air
dam under a floating Mustang in the grille. Reflective white strips
are almost ghost-like and line the sides of the car and
"SUPERCHARGED" is cut into the decal. Imperfections include
numerous chips and scratches, light peeling of the decal, and flex
cracks and chin scrapes up front.
Interior
Beautifully molded black door panels are sectioned and include a
central oval area that houses the switchgear and both doors present
cleanly. Black, white and gray cloth covers the racy bucket seats
and each, including the rear 2+2, are in nice shape. Up front, the
low mileage really shows with a near showroom condition steering
wheel, instrument cluster and center stack that now includes a Sony
AM/FM/CD radio. The center console houses the T-handle shifter over
a plastic face plate where some of the white paint on the
indicators has faded, otherwise in great shape. Black carpet below,
charcoal headliner above, and gray cloth lined panels finish the
trunk and our tour of this clean interior!
Drivetrain
Under the hood we find the 5.0 liter V8 with a Vortech V2
supercharger neatly tucked in. 42 pound injectors have been added
to keep up with the forced air and the whole thing is mated to an
AODE 4-speed automatic transmission. Power is received by the Ford
8.8" in back and handled with 3.27 gearing and TracLoc. Headers are
on board to begin the exhalation process.
Undercarriage
Some typical surface rust and metal oxidation occurs on the
underside but no major issues are found. The dual exhaust hits an X
pipe, then Spintech mufflers, eventually exiting through polished
tips. Four wheel power disc brakes are on board and suspension
includes coil springs front and rear with a 4 link in back.
Drive-Ability
The comfortable cabin presents an ideal place to have some fun. The
five liter starts up without issue, sounding great, and we pop the
shifter into drive and hit the test loop. We find the car has good
power, straight tracking, and nice handling, absolutely no
complaints from the Ford guys here at the mall! We note the A/C is
not working, but all other functions on board operate as they
should, and we gallop this white stallion back to the stable. While
Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at
the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions
will be working at the time of your purchase.
Trailer
A LOOK trailer accompanies the sale and measures 8.5' x 18". Its
15-inch wheels on dual axles are wrapped in ST205/75R15 tires with
a late 2021 date code and slowed through the use of electric
brakes. Diamond steel plating protects the front and the black
trailer presents in excellent condition. On the inside, walls are
constructed of engineered wood and stock parts including exhaust
and wheels are included.
A great looking Mustang GT with some tasteful mods and an
accompanying trailer. When was the last time you bought a horse and
the trailer came with it?! This is a fantastic package for the
money and solid bang for the buck. All you need is a rig to tow it
home!
