For Sale: 1969 Plymouth Road Runner in Palmer, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

1969 Plymouth RoadRunner - Awesome example of iconic Mopar muscle with plenty of GO and sinister looks! TRUE "RM23" Roadrunner hardtop option that has been restored and modified to be that evil street machine every grown adult wishes they had "back then". Original 383-car but now powered by a performance built 440ci big-block engine with a correct "Torq-Flite" 727 automatic transmission and 8-3/4 rear. A set of vintage headers matched with custom 3" exhaust gives this beast a great rumble at any speeds and updated power steering makes cruising a breeze. Exterior was recently re-painted just 2 years ago in a slick coat of Plymouth's "Black Velvet" from front to back and everything in between. The factory "V21-code" performance hood adds a mean look along with all custom made satin black call-out graphics for a little modern muscle accent. Original glass is in-tact and shows well. A set of blacked out Torq Thrust wheels mounted on white letter radials really complements the overall theme while also adding some vintage Day-2 styling. Interior contrasts perfectly in black vinyl tones throughout with factory bench seat and full carpet. Original dash is still in-tact but has some hairline cracks due to age. The speedometer and odometer work properly however the other gauges have been disconnected and replaced with auxiliary Fuel/Temp/Oil read-outs under the dash for more accurate vitals. There is currently no stereo system installed but lets be honest, who needs to listen to anything but the horsepower in a car like this? Even the BEEP-BEEP horn works as do all lights, signals and wipers. Engine bay is nicely detailed with black accents throughout. Original fender-tag is not secured to the vehicle but is included, showing matching VIN and all factory option codes. Original radiator support still shows matching VIN stamp as well along with original stamps on the hood, deck lid and rear quarter. Underneath is presentable and solid but signs of previous floor repairs and a common trunk replacement are visible. This car is no 100-point concourse-correct trailer queen but is an attractive and affordable option for those B-body fans just looking to have fun and look good while doing it. Great running and driving, turn-key classic that is ready to enjoy as-is or add a little of your touch and bring it to the next level!
