This custom 1967 Chevrolet Bel Air wagon is powered by a balanced
and blueprinted 502ci Chevrolet V-8 crate engine fitted with a
Holley 850-cfm carburetor and paired with a Turbo 400 three-speed
automatic transmission featuring a Gear Vendors overdrive and
underdrive system. The chassis and suspension components were
refinished in powder-coating during a comprehensive frame-off
restoration that utilized genuine GM parts throughout. It features
a lowered stance with upgraded wheels and tires. Braking is handled
by a four-wheel disc system equipped with SSBC four-piston
calipers. The exterior is finished in a two-tone gold pearl and
orange paint scheme with a flowing wave pattern and features shaved
door handles and reduced brightwork. The ivory interior has been
insulated for sound control and includes front and rear bench
seating with Simpson lap harnesses, brown carpeting with matching
floor mats, tilt steering column and Custom Autosound AM/FM/CD head
unit paired with a custom multi-speaker audio system. Built by
Larry Nash, owner of LP Racing of Indianapolis, Indiana, this Bel
Air was constructed as a driver and touring vehicle and has been
featured in multiple publications, including Chevy High Performance
and Hemmings Rod and Performance. Recent service includes new
tires, new starter and flywheel.
